Edward Peake CofE (VC) Middle School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Safeguarding and Pastoral Manager to join our growing school.

The successful candidate will work together with the senior school leaders to support and work with children and their families, including those who are most vulnerable. These responsibilities will include safeguarding, child protection, referrals and building engagement with families within the school community.

Candidates should be suitably qualified and have experience in safeguarding/child protection issues and procedures, which includes supporting cases, managing caseloads and working together with multiple agencies to support the needs of the individual or groups of children.

Previous Middle School experience is desirable, although not a requirement.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.  A DBS check will be required for this post.

Hours: 37 hours per week,  Mon – Fri (Term-time only) + five training days

Salary: 4c (14-19) £23,484 – £25,927 (pro rata)
