Grand Opening

28th September 2016Mr N Rayner

Thursday September 22nd was the momentus day when our new building was officially opened by Rt Rev Richard Atkinson, the Bishop of Bedford.

The ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, Head teachers from nearby schools, representatives from Watson and Cox (who built the extension), the architect (Leon Delegate), the Mayor of Biggleswade (Councillor David Albone) and a number of key staff who have moved to other jobs or retired.

The afternoon started with a performance by the steel band which was followed by a speech by Mrs Reddick.  Bishop Richard spoke to us about his robes and the important figures depicted on his cope, including St Alban and John Bunyan.  Our school choir performed an anthem and then the school was officially opened by Bishop Richard.  The afternoon was concluded by guests being given a tour of the school, whilst the pupils enjoyed an hour of ‘golden time’ doing activities that the children themselves had chosen to do, ranging from Football and Frisbee, to art and board games.  The fantastic weather and wonderful behaviour of the children helped to make it a very special day.

School Gateway

13th April 2016Mr N Rayner

You can now make online payments to school via credit or debit card.

We are pleased to advise that we have introduced a new service via the ‘School Gateway’. This means that you will be able to make online payments using a smartphone app or website.  School Gateway will also make it easier for parents to pay any time 24-7 and reduce the amount of cash being carried by children onto the school premises.

We will notify you by text or email when new items such as school trips or tickets for events are available for payment on School Gateway. You will also be able to give online consent, where required, for your child to take part in activities.  Currently this facility will not be available for school uniform or dinner money.

What you need to do now –

Activate your School Gateway account. It’s quick and easy to do. All you need are your email address and mobile number that school holds on record for you.

  • Download the app: If you have a smartphone, please download School Gateway from your app store (Android and iPhone). The app shows the same information as the website PLUS it saves the school money when we send you a text message.
  • Please note: If you have already downloaded the schoolgateway app for the messaging service we provide, this is one and the same service.

OR

  • Visit the website: www.schoolgateway.com and click on ‘New User’. You’ll receive a text message with a PIN number. Use this PIN to log into School Gateway.

If you are having trouble logging in, it may be because the school doesn’t have your current email and mobile phone number on record. Please call the school and we’ll update the details on our system.

We hope that you will find School Gateway to be a fast and easy way to pay for school items.
